Zulu Pencil Cup Bleuet

Honouring African traditions and South African craftsmanship, this blue and bronze bleuet pencil cup - part of As'Art's Zulu collection - is the result of the delicate braiding of falling telephone wires and copper wires. A form of craftsmanship marking the transition between the use of traditional materials (e.g palm leaves and dried herbs) and industrial ones, with the development of urbanisation, the weaving of the telephone wire.
